In the sweltering, cypress-haunted parishes of Louisiana, former police sergeant Will Lassiter lives in enforced seclusion, his name forever stained by a viral 2024 police brutality case—Carter v. When small animals die and a classmate is driven to a breakdown, Will and his wife Claire realize they are raising a budding psychopath.
